Dash puts your WHOOP and Oura numbers on a page built to be looked at, not scrolled. Leave it open on a spare monitor, a tablet, an old phone, or the Kindle in your drawer. It lives on its own site, for the reason below.

Read this first: Dash is not like the other tools here
Every other tool in this workshop runs entirely in your browser. Nothing uploads, nothing is stored anywhere but your own device, and the page is locked down so it cannot send your data out even if I wanted it to.
Dash cannot work that way, and I am not going to pretend it does. Connecting WHOOP or Oura needs a secret that anyone could read if it sat in your browser. And the display page has to render on hardware too old to fetch anything itself, so a server has to do the fetching and send back finished HTML.
So Dash holds encrypted access tokens and a small, bounded set of numbers on a server: the latest value for each metric, the one before it, and a rolling four-week window of one value per day, kept so a display can say whether today is normal for you. Nothing older than 28 days survives a sync. That is a real difference, it is the whole reason Dash sits on a separate domain instead of in this list, and the full detail is written out here.
What it puts on the screen
Pick your own- From WHOOP: Recovery, Day Strain, Sleep performance.
- From Oura: Readiness, Sleep score, Activity.
- From either: HRV, resting heart rate, total sleep time, respiratory rate.
- Wear both? Both sets show up, each labelled with where it came from. Dash never averages them into an invented score. Recovery and Readiness measure different things and mixing them would just produce a number nobody can act on.
Why an old Kindle is good at this
And where it stopsE-ink is readable in direct sunlight, the battery lasts weeks, and the device is already sitting in a drawer doing nothing. The display page is plain HTML and plain CSS with no JavaScript at all, which is what lets it render on a browser that old.
The honest limit: a stock Kindle sleeps after about ten minutes and shows its screensaver instead of your dashboard, and there is no supported way to turn that off. So it is a glance device. Tap to wake and the numbers are current. It is not an always-on wall display, and anyone claiming otherwise is describing a jailbroken Kindle.
